Consultations and implantation procedures

Implants are small titanium screws which replace a missing tooth root. They are very practical, durable and eliminate discomfort of wearing the denture placed on the gum which causes pain and bone atrophy. For one missing tooth, one implant is made onto which a crown is fixed (a porcelain or ceramic tooth), which allows us to avoid grinding the neighbouring teeth.

Steps of the implantation process

  • specialist consultation, panoramic radiograph and computed tomography
  • compiling a cost estimate and agreeing on the details of the therapy with the patient
  • treating all teeth and removing roots which cannot be used in prosthodontic restoration
  • implantation
  • a period of waiting for integration with the bone of 1.5–6 months
  • placing a connector with a crown perfectly imitating a natural tooth

3D imaging: a new dimension of a thorough analysis and implant planning

A CT scan is the basis for planning the implantology treatment. The three-dimensional image allows us to obtain the precise information about the number of bones in the procedure site. This facilitates finding a proper implant size; thus, the procedure is completely safe. Any implantation risks are eliminated. We avoid damaging major anatomical structures, e.g. the alveolar nerve.
